I am a qualified, experienced secondary maths teacher and tutor. I have a BSc (Hons) from London University, a PGCert in secondary maths from Brunel University and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). I can provide references from current clients on request and am fully DBS checked. I am a marker and Team leader for Edxcel GCSE maths Higher papers.
I love maths and I really enjoy teaching it. I am lively, enthusiastic and thorough. I think that there are three keys to successful maths tuition:
- deal with misconceptions
- use interesting teaching methods and resources
- persuade students to always check their answers
By using real life examples I help students to understand why maths matters in everyday life and in the workplace. Prior to teaching I ran a successful publishing company.
